Help!!! So much to do, before I say 'I Do'....

Choose a good friend as your 'personal attendant'. She really will save your sanity on the day, and help carry essentials such as tissues, needle and thread, hairspray and headache tablets. Bottled water won't seem like a great idea now, but she may help take one along as well - some places only have water bubblers and they will play havoc with your make-up.

Keep a note pad by your bed to write down 'to-dos' so they won't keep you awake all night.

Food for Thought ....

Begin your day with a great breakfast, as you won't really have the time to have a proper meal later on, so consider eating well, and don't worry about your dress fitting. It is going to be a wonderful (but long) day and you will want plenty of energy to socialise and dance and enjoy your moment.

Another tip is to pack an 'energy snack' into your emergency kit-bag so you can snack on something when you do feel hungry.

"Yikes! It's raining!"
Even with your very best plans, there is a chance for something to go amiss. A simple rain shower, a tipsy vicar or a catastrophic double booking of the church may seem like a complete disaster.
You might not see the funny side at first, though these 'problems' can add colourful memories to your day and are most likely to give you your favourite photos in the end.
We'll look after you both before, during and after your wedding day.

I am not used to being photographed, how do I look my best?
Decide on your dress colour wisely. You may have dreamt about that stunning white fabric, but some skin tones can appear washed out next to white. Experiment with Ivory or Cream colours and take a good look at results before you decide.
You may feel a little silly at 'perfecting' a pose before a mirror, but practice will pay off. Each bride has a different shape and some poses will accentuate best features. Try turning your body to one side and just twist your head and shoulders towards the mirror, or stand with one foot in front of the other.
If you are planning on wearing a veil with sequins or beads, these can appear to look like spots in a photograph. Get a friend to take a picture beforehand and if you are worried, fold the veil back for your pictures.
Keeping a fixed smile can be tiring - but you don't want to look tired. Try pushing your tongue against the back of your teeth to keep your grin looking bright and natural.

We would love to have a beach wedding....
Beach weddings, or weddings by the water, are magical. Choose fabrics that are airy and light, and consider your shoes - those 3 inch heels will sink into the sand. Flowers may need to be kept refrigerated until just before the ceremony, and a little spray of water during the day will keep them bright and refreshed.

Arrange for lots of non-alcoholic drinks for your guests to help against the heat during hotter months, sometimes there might not be many shaded areas.

Short and sweet
Another important point of a beach wedding is your dress length. Longer dresses can be more formal, but try one of the newer trends that reach to ankle length, and avoid a very full skirt and train. For a unique wedding dress, try a short one - it will capture the mood and fun of a beach wedding and will also prevent against hems getting too sandy.

During the hotter summer weather, it can be a good idea for the groom to have another shirt handy for your photography - and this will make him feel more refreshed for your reception.

"I hate having my picture taken!"
Don't worry, so do I. If you are nervous, try and think of something to do with your hands - holding a clutch bag or flowers, or a few shots of you looking adoringly into your husbands eyes as he makes silly faces will have you laughing and relaxed in seconds. If you think of a photograph you would especially like taken on the day don't be afraid to tell us, remember, we are working with you to make images that will have you radiant and that you will treasure.

I love my heels, but they hurt my feet ....

Be sure to pick shoes that seem completely comfortable to begin with, and wear them around the house in thick socks for a day or two before the wedding to make sure they are a good fit.

For the bride who is going to be doing a lot of dancing later, pick comfortable shoes that are going to feel good to move in. If you are having a beach wedding, choose sandals or flip flops to make sure that sand doesn't irritate you.

If your wedding dress is long, avoid spike heels or any kind of platform heel that might cause a tear in the dress or a trip on the walk down the aisle. With a long train or skirt, the shoes are hardly going to be seen at all, so stay comfortable instead!

How do I make sure that all my family has a photo taken?
It is very helpful to have a family member, or good friend from each side, to 'round' up guests for one photo as another is being taken. Sometimes it can be a good idea to have pictures of younger bridesmaids or page boys before the ceremony begins whilst they still look their best.
For your 'getting ready' photography, have your makeup and hair completed first - before your bridesmaids, that way you will be in every photograph.

How much time should we allow for the photo shoot after our ceremony and before the reception?
Our couples usually allow around 1-3 hours for the photo shoot, with 2 hours as the average. There is also no limit to how many locations you can go, just bear in mind the weather and travel times. If there is a lot of travel between the locations, it may be closer to 3 hours.
